The Project. Clearwater Wellness Co. developed a smart plunge platform that connects physical hardware with a structured digital experience for cold therapy. The project covered end-to-end UX, including mode control (chill, cold, heat), alarms, session analytics, and group sharing.
The interface was designed for use in physically demanding conditions. Controls are clear and operable during active sessions, with defined temperature states, predictable transitions, and immediate feedback. Session data focuses on consistency and progress rather than performance comparison.
Results & Impact. The design increased session completion and improved usability of the physical plunge controls. Shareable results supported community engagement without introducing competitive pressure. A complete high-fidelity prototype and development handoff accelerated implementation and reduced build-phase ambiguity. The clarity of the product experience also contributed to stronger investor confidence.
